Scaling and strategic partnerships
On November 18, 2025, the 4th UK-UA Defence Tech Forum was held at the Royal United Defence Research Institute (RUSI) in London. This event became a key platform for discussing the future of joint production and financing of defence technologies between Ukraine and the UK.
Oleksandr Yakovenko spoke as a speaker at the “Partnerships in Defence Tech” session. Together with representatives of the UK Ministry of Defence (Task Force Kindred) and Ukrainian market leaders (Athlon Avia, Swarmer, DroneUA), participants discussed critical aspects of business-state interaction.
Key topics raised during the session:
Defence City as an investment magnet: Discussion of the initiative to create special hubs to encourage investment in the production of weapons and equipment directly in Ukraine.
Scaling through exports: Analysis of the opportunities for Ukrainian manufacturers to export
products, which will allow attracting capital for further R&D and faster
covering the needs of our front.
Test in Ukraine Program: Evaluation of the first results of testing the latest developments in real combat conditions, which is a unique advantage of Ukrainian companies.
Supply chain sustainability: Transition to using exclusively Ukrainian and European components to ensure production independence.
Participation in a forum of this level confirms the status of TAF Industries as an important player in the international Defence Tech arena. We continue to work to transform the experience of Ukrainian engineers and the real needs of the battlefield into high-tech solutions, ready for scaling and integration into the security system of the entire European continent.
