UAV Pilot

We are TAF Industries, a military‑tech company that manufactures and develops military
technologies ranging from FPV drones and loitering munitions to missiles and artificial
intelligence systems for aerial reconnaissance. We are looking for a UAV Pilot.

You are eligible for this position if you:

• have practical experience flying in FBWA / Cruise / FBWB / Guided / RTL modes;
• can confidently perform takeoff and landing in manual or semi‑automatic modes;
• can work with Mission Planner / QGroundControl;
• have experience working with autonomous missions (Auto, Waypoints);
• can interpret telemetry (voltage, GPS, altitude, speed);
• possess basic knowledge of UAV maintenance (pre/post‑flight checks, basic diagnostics);
• understand Failsafe / Loss‑of‑Signal scenarios;
• ideally have experience working in a crew or performing operational tasks.

It would be great if you have:

• a driver’s license;
• recommendations from previous service or workplaces.

Your tasks will include:

Pre‑flight preparation:

• inspecting the UAV (visual + telemetry), batteries, antennas, GPS, video systems;
• selecting safe takeoff/landing points;
• UAV startup via checklist, coordination of routes with the operator/crew.

Flight execution:

• takeoff and stabilization in appropriate modes;
• constant telemetry monitoring;
• quick reaction to abnormal situations;
• manual takeover when required;
• performing RTL or manual return.

Post‑flight procedures:

• safe landing;
• shutting down and saving logs;
• post‑flight UAV condition assessment;
• reporting via Google Sheets.

Training & improvement:

• studying routes, weather scenarios, SOP;
• participating in training and simulations;
• assisting in training new pilots (when experienced enough).

Team interaction:

• working in a pair with the operator;
• joint mission planning;
• clear and concise communication during missions;
• following radio/chat protocols.
